NHLNYIOVR 78

The New York Islanders are an NHL team based in Elmont, New York, and compete in the Eastern Conference’s Metropolitan Division. Founded in 1972, the team became famous for winning four consecutive Stanley Cup championships from 1980 to 1983, one of the greatest dynasties in hockey history. The Islanders play their home games at UBS Arena and are known for their royal blue, orange, and white colours. Their success in the early 1980s was built around a strong core of players and coach Al Arbour, establishing the franchise as one of the NHL’s most successful teams. Legendary Islanders include Mike Bossy, Bryan Trottier, Denis Potvin, Billy Smith, and modern captain Anders Lee.
