HC Kometa Brno

HC Kometa Brno is a professional ice hockey team based in Brno, the second-largest city in Czechia, competing in the Czech Extraliga (TELH). Founded in 1953, the club became a dominant force in Czechoslovak hockey during the 1950s and 1960s, winning 11 national championships. The team plays its home games at Winning Group Arena and is recognised by its traditional blue and white colours. After returning to the Czech Extraliga in 2009, Kometa rebuilt its reputation by winning back-to-back league titles in 2017 and 2018. The club has a passionate fan base and remains one of the most historically successful and recognisable names in Czech hockey.
