HK Sochi
HC Sochi is a professional ice hockey team based in Sochi, a coastal city in southwestern Russia on the Black Sea, competing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Founded in 2014, the club was established following the 2014 Winter Olympics, which brought international attention to the city’s sporting facilities. The team plays its home games at the Bolshoy Ice Dome, originally built for the Olympic ice hockey tournament. HC Sochi is known for its blue, white, and turquoise colours, reflecting the coastal character of its home city. Although the club has yet to win a major KHL championship, it continues to compete against established teams and develop its presence in Russian professional hockey.
