Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings are an NHL team based in Detroit, Michigan, and compete in the Eastern Conference’s Atlantic Division. Founded in 1926 as the Detroit Cougars, they became the Red Wings in 1932 and are one of the league’s Original Six franchises. They play their home games at Little Caesars Arena and are famous for their red-and-white colours and iconic winged-wheel logo. The Red Wings have won 11 Stanley Cup championships, the most of any NHL team based in the United States. Legendary players associated with the franchise include Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lidström, Sergei Fedorov, and Pavel Datsyuk.
